From this NYT article. I bet that guy feels like an asshole. Also, it was nice to learn that Louisiana has the highest incarceration rate in the US. - Billydalto.
Not only does Louisiana have the highest incarceration rate, it is still one of the most criminal-infested states in the country, although I suppose many take that as proof that the rate should be even higher.
Let’s be blunt: we should probably imprison all of us; it’s the only way to keep our stuff safe. I know I can’t be trusted around my valuables.
Also: the US has almost 25% of the world’s prisoners.
