Nerd Notes
- If you use a Mac and write, you should really check out Scrivener; I like Pages, and I’m more tolerant of Word than many, but Scrivener is a really cool, responsive, organizationally compelling application for word-processing. It has the same full-screen, anti-distraction, old-school, gorgeous writing mode that WriteRoom does but is a bit more full featured (WriteRoom is really cool, too, but in its default configuration reminds me too much of Doogie Howser).
- Most of the people who see this site use Firefox, and thus see a hideous border around the Flickr photos to the right. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to get that border to go away while retaining that precise arrangement of tiles, which I like, to no avail. This bothers me, so I’m (a) venting and (b) apologizing to the Firefox folks.
- What text editor do most of you serious Tumblr folks use? I’ve used Pagespinner for years and years, have dabbled with Coda (which doesn’t seem well-suited to Tumblr), and am just curious what’s preferred.
