I know it’s, uh, Caturday, but this photo fascinates me; I can’t recall seeing another image with such clear depth: look at how many soldiers there are, how far back they extend into the woods, and how calm their dog is in front.
(This is also from ‘A Thousand Hounds,’ a wonderful book that is actually a history of photography as told through dog photos; the full photo is twice as wide, but I can’t get a good shot of it).
