Who I Am
Hello! My name is Dillard Mills Baker. I was born on October 29, 1980 in New Orleans, LA. These are my parents, and here are my sister and I. During my happy and idiosyncratic upbringing I went to St. Andrew’s, Trinity, Benjamin Franklin, and Isidore Newman, before attending Bard College and Louisiana State University, should anyone from an old school be hoping to find me.

I presently live and work in Baton Rouge, LA, with my friend Will and my dogs Bayou and Five.
I made my first effort at writing on the Internet -creating a blog which at the time we called an ‘online journal’- in 1997. Since then I’ve been here and there and elsewhere, and I’ve been posting on Tumblr since November 4th, 2007. Recently, I started another site for my photos called Photophobia.
I can also be found at Flickr, Vimeo, Facebook, and Twitter; should you be interested, I can be reached through email as well. (For reasons still unclear to me, I even have a Google Profile).
I like Tumblr a lot, and follow lots of people through both RSS and the Dashboard. I am currently on the Why Tumblr? page in the “Writers” category, which excites me inordinately.
This site’s popularity has exceeded my vainest hopes, and for that I am grateful to those who’ve taken an interest in what I’ve posted and the many people -online and elsewhere- who have catalyzed my thought, such as it is. Sincerely, thanks to you all for your time, comments, and feedback!

(These photos are part of the Tumblr community’s Gratuitous Photo of Yourself Wednesday tradition).
